Preston joined New Priorities Family Services as a Mental Health Counseling Intern while completing his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University, where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health Science. Preston has experience working with adolescents, adults, LGBTQIA+, elderly, and individuals with disabilities of all ages and walks of life. He has a special interest in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, relationship conflicts, depression, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, challenges with various disabilities, ADHD, and life transitions. His background in both counseling and care coordination has strengthened his passion for providing holistic, client-centered care.

Preston believes that every individual deserves a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where they feel empowered to share their experiences and work toward meaningful change. He prioritizes building genuine and empathetic therapeutic relationships and collaborates with clients to identify their strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. His counseling approach is person-centered, solution-focused, and strengths-based while incorporating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-based interventions, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care.

Outside of the office, Preston enjoys spending time with family and friends, tabletop games of all kinds, collecting cards, video games, and developing new skills that support both his personal growth and professional development.
