Lezlie Neusteter

Ms. Neusteter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has worked in various clinical and governmental settings over the past 20 years including the City of Long Beach’s Department of Health and Human Services in the Homeless Bureau as Homeless Prevention Coordinator; at the San Diego U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as the Veterans Justice Outreach Court Liaison; at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon as a Psychiatric Social Worker; and at the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office in the Adult Jail as a Behavioral Health Specialist providing crisis intervention and therapy to high risk inmates.  

Currently, Ms. Neusteter works as a Mental Health Clinical Supervisor and Psychotherapist at New Priorities Family Services, an intensive out-patient dual diagnosis (mental health and substance abuse) treatment facility in Bend, Oregon.  Ms. Neusteter also works in private practice as a therapist doing individual and group therapy; she serves as a Consultant at Deschutes Defenders Public Defense Law Firm in Bend, Oregon; she is the Founder/Director of Central Oregon Forensic Social Work where she partners with criminal defense attorneys to assess for underlying substance abuse and mental health disorders then facilitating admission directly into intensive treatment upon release from jail; and serves as the Founder/Director of “See The Signs,” a non-profit organization providing specialized trainings to corporations, government agencies and community members on how to prevent crisis killings through learning the earliest signs of a person on the pathway to violence and how to intervene safely and compassionately. 

Lezlie’s favorite job is mom to her 9 yr old daughter and 10 year old son… the reason she fights so hard to make our community happier, healthier and safer.  In her spare time, she binge watches Netflix and wanders the wilderness.
