Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM), Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS), Family Support Specialist (FSS), CADC-R

With over six years in recovery, Marcus brings deep empathy, lived experience, and professional training to his work supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use. As a Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM), Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS), Family Support Specialist (FSS), and CADC-R (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor – Registered), he integrates clinical knowledge with real-life insight to help others reclaim their lives from addiction.
Marcus has a powerful personal story of transformation. He spent years entangled in gang life, drug dealing, and incarceration before finding a new path through recovery. Today, he draws on his experiences to connect authentically with clients facing some of the toughest challenges—including substance use, trauma, reentry after incarceration, and breaking cycles of generational harm.
His approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and rooted in the belief that recovery is possible for everyone. He specializes in working with justice-involved individuals, young adults, and families navigating complex systems. Whether he’s mentoring someone through early sobriety, offering peer-based support, or helping clients build long-term recovery plans, Marcus is committed to walking alongside others with compassion, accountability, and hope.
When he’s not working, he’s often speaking in the community, mentoring youth, or enjoying time with his family, a source of strength and purpose in his ongoing journey.
