Lisa Mathis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has worked in
various clinical and non-profit agencies that serve families/children,
houseless individuals and humans experiencing an immediate mental health
crisis/ addiction and needing stabilization.
Currently, Lisa works as a Mental Health Clinical Supervisor and Mental Health
therapist at New Priorities Family Services. She is passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals for their life and walking shoulder-to- shoulder to aid them in success and awareness. She firmly believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to support clients in their own healing, recovery and self-discovery. She values authenticity and warmth to cultivate an environment where clients are free to explore the issues that are weighing heavily on their hearts, lives and minds. Lisa offers many modalities for therapy to serve clients’ needs including EMDR, IFS, CBT, DBT and Psychotherapy. Lisa is a trainer in QPR (Question Persuade and Refer- to help safe a life from suicide), and Oregon Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (OCALM).
“I provide treatment to individuals coping with a variety of mental health
challenges including depression, anxiety, grief, post-traumatic stress, suicidal
ideation, addiction, personality disorders and relationship issues.
I embrace a person-centered, relational approach with an emphasis on
trauma-informed care and attachment theory. My passion is animals and the
therapeutic benefits they offer their humans”.
Lisa’s favorite job is wife and mom to her 6 children. In her spare time, she
binge watches Netflix, bakes sourdough/ cinnamon rolls and enjoys traveling
with her family or playing with her many pets.
